Prayers and People Like You!
The first story in our newsletter should probably be about how wonderful our trip to Miami was, how God has blessed beyond what we could have hoped for, or the wonderful support we have received along the way, but the more we learn about our new Region the more excited we get about God’s work, and the wonderful way the Holy Spirit moves through the prayers and generosity of people like you!
Nazarene missionaries are returning to Haiti, three years after being evacuated for safety reasons! During the interim period the Haitian church added more than 7,000 members to the Nazarene family, and many District are praising God for the outpouring of His Spirit upon them!
The Spanish Field (Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Puerto Rico) is currently one of the fastest growing Fields, with one of the countries reporting a doubling in growth just in the last five years! It is interesting to see these churches growing so dynamically, and seeing how they spend so much time with each other in praise, prayer, and fellowship. This hit me (Dave) especially after just having traveled across the country where I have seen so many churches closing their doors Sunday night, and shortening other meetings.
God is not finished with the United States, and He is not finished working in the Caribbean. We have been blessed to see so many exciting stories of God’s movement, and we look forward to hearing how He is moving in you as well! |

Lions and Tigers and Bears...
On May 29th Grace, Anna, Dave and Rosie pulled into their new home on SW 119th Terrace in Miami. The girls were thrilled to see palm trees in our front yard, and even more excited to get out of the van!
May 31st Dave flew out to Yakima to begin the long journey back in a Penske truck. Rosie stayed in Miami with the chiquitas, and even took them to the zoo one day! Anna had been talking about the “Yammi Soo” even in Kansas City, and they were not disappointed! The beautiful white tiger, the peacock with feathers extended, and the elephants were some of their favorites! Of course nothing compares to the three snakes in the house, two lizards, the wonderful “little” cockroaches that greeted us at every stop. |
