Prayer Requests and Praises!

A note about Intercession - Rosie

Prayer request updates

Pray that I find a better spell checker for this program! Or perhaps I should just proof read better before posting!

There are some big changes taking place that we would like prayer for please. Pray for peace, success, and the God's Kingdom would be built in strong ways.

Please pray for Haitian contacts. We are exploring the concept of translating the entire Manual into Haitian Creole, which would be a rather large undertaking. Pray that if this is God's will that He would pave the way like only He can do!

Pray for Rosie as she travels to Argentina this week. She is attending a conference on how to help more Caribbean people become missionaries if they are called to missions. You could pray for dad and the kids too! :)

Pray for Rosie as she gets ready to travel to Dominica. She will be leading training on Sunday School and discipleship ideas and would like to inspire the people there to really focus on one-on-one discipleship as the key to building the Kingdom of God.

Please pray for our work in the Caribbean as we clean up after the hurricanes that went through this year. Giving for reconstruction was dramatically lower this year, so you could also be in prayer about finances and Work and Witness teams coming here.

Pray for your discipleship partner. If you do not have one, pray the God will help you find someone that can help you become more like Jesus Christ, and that He will bring someone that you can help them become more like Christ as well.

Pray the the holiday season will be a blessing upon the family as we travel to Kentucky to visit brother Peter and his family, and then to Washington to say hi to our loved ones there! Yay!

Redland church is looking for an associate pastor! Do you know anyone? :)

We have a deputation opportunity NOvember 17th, but Rosie just found out that she will be in Dominica, so I get to do that with the girls. Nicely enough, my parents will be here during that time for mom's xxth Birthday! (Hint: It's between 40 and 80 -- like RIGHT in between!) She may kill me if she ever reads this site, so send funeral expenses care of Rosie! :)

Praise: That you read this far down the page! Thank you for your prayers and your emails of encouragement. They do mean a lot to us.

Praise: God is using us! How cool is that!?!

Praise: Our girls really like Jesus!

Praise: Some really great ideas are being floated around the office for things to do in the Caribbean. Pray for leadership and success, and praise God that He is the author of creativity and success!

Praise: The Nazarene church is official in Aruba now! We need $100,000 for a piece of land to start building a church on. Can you believe that land costs that much in Aruba? :) It is an island, after all, so we have to deal with population requirements, so perhaps that is a prayer request as well!

Older Prayer and Praises:

Praise! #6 below has been answered! If you read the family journals you knew this already, but kitty came home in a wonderful little package sent with love from Missouri! Thank you so much for your prayers, I cannot tell you how excited Grace was when she saw kitty again!

Praise! We have found a really wonderful church here called Redland Church of the Nazarene. The people there are very interested in missions, and we have found several little girls that same age as ours that they are quickly making friends with. They still miss their friends at West Valley Church, but we praise God for His providence in new friendships as well!

Praise! Our housing situation is wonderful! Dave gets to walk to work in the morning!

HUGE praise! The girls have a wonderful school, Rainbow Academy, and they have very loving teachers, and Grace is like a sponge!

REQUEST: Safe travels as Dave and Rosie leave Miami for various locations. Also, please pray for favor to be shown to us by those whom we come in contact with, as some of the meetings have far-reaching implications!

Praise! Someone donated $4,000 to our deputation fund for use in the Caribbean! Another person donated $40! We thank God for gifts both large and small, and trust that the "widow's mite" will stretch as far as God can stretch it! We will keep you updated how these monies are used as blessings to the Caribbean.

REQUEST: Our air conditioner might be going out again! I wish I knew as much about cars as I obviously should! :)

REQUEST: Blessings on our church as they seek God's direction in the next way to pursue building His Kingdom in the Caribbean.

REQUEST: Mom and dad's health needs. Dad is recovering from extensive back surgery, and mom is having other rather serious health issues.

We also would ask for prayer concerning our health. We have seen many missionaries that have had to return for that reason alone, and would like to be prayed-up in that area!

Thank you for your prayers for my brother Stephen and his family. Please continue to remember them when you can.
